Aztec Rental Center, Inc. first opened its doors in June of 1966.  Founders Lester and Wanda Sorsby started the business as the first A to Z franchise in the greater Houston, Texas area.  The store was originally intended to be a sideline business, but it did not take Lester long to realize the potential in this rental industry.

In 1969 after the franchise disbanded, Lester and Wanda changed the name to Aztec Rental Center, Inc.  For the first few years of business, Aztec Rental operated as a "Mom and Pop" company with the Sorsby's and their 3 children keeping the doors open.  In the early 80's the business took a huge leap when the "construction boom" hit. 

In 1983 Lester realized how big the market for construction was and opened a second branch store in Sugar Land, Texas.  This store took awhile to get off the ground but Lester's vision would shine through once again.  As Houston expanded outward in the early 90's, the Sugar Land market exploded with construction. 

Today Aztec Rental is one of the largest and most complete equipment rental operation in the Houston, TX area. Aztec has now expanded its lines and devoted attention to new equipment sales by partnering up with Ferris Commercial Lawn Mowers, Snapper, Cub Cadet, Stihl, Echo and offering a line of trailers for sale.  There are currently nine family members, spanning over three generations, involved in the every day business operations.  With almost four decades of knowledge and experience we are confident we have the ability to assist you in purchasing or renting new or used construction equipment you need to get any job done.  We take great pride in customer service and stop nothing short of satisfying our customers in every aspect of our business - serving customers in areas such as Pearland, Katy, Spring, Friendswood, Missouri City, Rosenberg, Baytown and Tomball, Texas.
